I don’t buy it.을 직역하면, 난 그것을 사지 않겠다, 즉 그 말을 믿을 수 없다 는 뜻이 됩니다. 어떤 물건을 살 때 그 물건에 대한 믿음이나 신뢰가 있으니까 사는 거잖아요? 그래서 무언 가를 사지 않겠다는 'I don't buy it' 이라는 표현은, 어떤 얘기를 믿지 못하겠다는 의미로 사용하는 겁니다 |
