Today’s ｅxpression is rub RUB rub, it in one’s face FACE face. Rub it in one’s face To rub it in one’s face is to
emphasize your advantage in a way that makes someone jealous. It can even leave them feeling upset or embarrassed.
단어 rub RUB rub은 문지르다 라는 뜻입니다. 그러니까 무언가를 다른 사람의 얼굴에 계속 문지르면 ‘들먹인다’ 또는 ‘이미 알고 있는 실수를 상기시키다’ 또는 ‘계속해서 자랑하다’ 라는 의미로 많이 쓰입니다.
본문에서 저는 Jason에게 이미 파리로 휴가 간다고 여러 번 자랑했습니다. Jason은 저처럼 휴가를 내서 가지 못한다는 사실을 알면서도 Jason에게 자꾸 얘기하니까 Jason은 자꾸 들먹이지말라고 합니다.
